When our mom was ready to downsize to an assisted living facility, my siblings and I quickly became overwhelmed with the logistics and how to equally divide the responsibilities. Deciding on what to keep, donate, or throw out was emotionally draining. We did not have enough boxes to adequately pack her belongings and finding the right moving company was taxing. We lived in other states with busy jobs and family activities. Our mom needed our support, but everyone felt stressed and overwhelmed with the situation.

Our real estate agent told us about RDM Move Managers and the exceptional help they provided to their clients. We had no idea this type of service existed. We met with the owners, Rich and Lisa, for a free evaluation. They assessed the situation and delivered a fair estimate with a comprehensive plan that worked for everyone. There was thought and care behind each recommendation. Our burden was lifted and our mother received the support she needed during this difficult time.

The whole process was done efficiently, meticulously and honestly. We were able to list the house two months earlier than we could have on our own. We saved money on property tax, utility cost and general upkeep of the house. RDM orchestrated an estate sale which resulted in $4,500 of additional funds for Mom. Our Mom is in her new place and settling in well. Lisa, Rich and their team were with us every step of the way. I don’t know how we could have done it without them.

When I decided to downsize from my house to an apartment, I had every intention of doing it myself. My kids had moved out, and the house was simply too big. I needed a more manageable and comfortable space.

As I began the process, I quickly realized I was in over my head. We lived in our home over 25 years and accumulated a lot of stuff. I had an attic and a basement filled with things plus way too much furniture. While there were some treasured possessions, there was also a lot of junk! I was overwhelmed with the thought of sorting through it all. I had a full-time job and could not find enough time to begin to organize. The housing market was hot and I didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to sell my home at its highest value.

I was constantly posting items on Facebook Marketplace and lugging them to the curb for pick-up. I was physically exhausted.

A neighbor saw me carrying a heavy chair to the street. He offered to help and then told me about RDM Move Managers. He worked with the owners, Rich and Lisa, when he moved his mom to a smaller home. He said using professional organizers made the process so much easier and he was able to list his mother’s house quicker than anticipated. RDM also handled the estate sale, bringing in $1,500 to help offset the cost of his mother’s move.

The next day, I called RDM and scheduled a consultation. We designed a plan that made sense for me. I wanted to manage some of the move, but there were aspects I could not handle. My move was faster and less expensive than it would have been had I done it on my own. They even took care of the logistics of shipping some sentimental possessions to my daughter in California.

I hope never to move again, but one lesson I learned is not to dive into a move alone. RDM proved their value and they did it with complete professionalism and care.  I can’t thank them enough!

Recently I moved to an assisted living center after 30 years in my home. The move was a lot to handle. My wife had passed a few years earlier and we had no kids. My nieces and nephews offered to help, but I did not want to burden them with my problems.

The manager at the living center suggested I contact Rich and Lisa of RDM Move Managers. Several of the people living there had worked with them and had a good experience.

Rich came to my home and really listened to my needs. He made me feel at ease. Within a few days we had a move plan with a written estimate that covered everything from creating a floor plan to packing and handling the logistics of sending important possessions to my cousins in Richmond Virginia. I had the option to sell all my other belongings but decided to donate them instead. Rich and Lisa delivered all the donations and even got me a $488 tax credit.

While moving like this is never easy, Lisa and Rich did a great job bringing down the anxiety. They made me feel like everything was under control. I highly recommend RDM Move Managers. They were a great team.

After 25 years of marriage and raising three great kids, my husband and I decided to move from a house to a two-bedroom apartment in the city. We were excited about the new adventure, but not excited about moving all that we acquired over the years.  We both were ready for our new beginning, and we wanted to start as soon as possible.

I began to do homework on the logistics of a move and came across a unique service called “complete Move Managers”. I asked my realtor if he had any experience with this type of service and he suggested RDM Move Managers.

Lisa and Rich were just terrific. They gave us a complete move plan including staging, sorting, and organizing. The plan also included selling, donating and junking our unwanted things. They helped us hire a moving company and managed the process. We had some sentimental belongings that we wanted to save for our kids. Lisa found an affordable storage place six miles from our new apartment!  We saved time and money with a fraction of the headaches.

We were settled into our new place ahead of schedule. Their team of employees were polite and respectful when in my home. We could not be happier with RDM Managers. We highly recommend them.

My parents have lived in the same house for over fifty years. They love their place, especially during the holidays when the whole family is together. It’s a terrific old house, but it was cluttered with knickknacks and photos, oversized furniture and lots of area rugs. There were few safety measures, especially in the bathrooms where a fall can easily happen. We worried that the house was becoming too dangerous and unmanageable. We needed a plan to allow them to stay safely at home.

I spoke to my parents about our concerns. They agreed the house needed organization and safety measures. I did some homework on services that might help and even asked my parents’ doctor if she had any thoughts. She told me about RDM

Move Managers, a company that helps seniors stay in their homes while making them safer, cleaner and organized.

Rich and Lisa came to the house and met with my parents. They toured all the rooms, assessed the situation. They delivered a plan with a fair estimate to declutter, organize, liquidate furnishings and install safety measures to minimize the risks of falling.

When the RDM team came to the house, they were respectful and got right to work. They made my parents part of the process and regularly checked in with me on their progress. Within a month, the house was completely in order. The floorplans were great. creating open space in each room to make maneuvering easier. Items were liquidated, memories organized, bathrooms made safer and kitchen appliances along with dishes placed within reach. They secured rugs to prevent tripping as well as incorporating a new shelving systems to organize closets, pantry and the basement so items were more accessible.

My parents are thrilled and I feel a weight has been lifted off my back. Thank you RDM for making my parents’ home a place they will safely enjoy for years to come.
